Between the holidays and school closures, the children haven’t been to school on the same day since 1846.
I woke up one morning singing “Kokomo”. After I killed the earworm, we listened to The Beach Boys all day. The good stuff. Not that shit with John Stamos on drums.
There are two superstitions I buy into: throwing salt over my shoulder and no hats on the bed. Question. Does the “no hats” thing carry over to MASKS on the bed? Because I’m a little freaked out right now.
We set up a permanent yoga space for me. Over the course of two weekends, it involved rearranging three rooms and five desks. We measured things and took things apart. We found 1,497 pencils, three guitars, and one retainer of unknown ownership.
The children eat a lot of Lenders bagels. A lot. About three years ago, I got a package that, instead of the normal six, had only five bagels. I’ve been sad about it for years. Last week I got a package with SEVEN BAGELS IN IT! Can you believe it? I HAVE BEEN REDEEMED!
Tom got all A’s in his first semester of grad school. Full stop.
I wrote a paper for yoga school. It was the first paper I’ve written since 1997.
By end of day tomorrow, I have to map out an hour-long yoga class on paper. Right now I should be drawing little stick figures doing funny poses. I’m writing this instead.
I’ve had an ear infection for about 3 weeks. I finally finished my antibiotics. But. But. Can YOU hear the ringing in my ears? No? How come? IT’S SO LOUD!!!
In a low-risk way to pass the long hours of pandemic living, I’m re-reading beloved epic novels. I can’t see real people in real life, so I’m visiting these old friends. I think I’m kind of a genius for coming up with this plan.
Remember when I didn’t like dogs? Well. Now I have a constant yoga companion (I think she likes my new permanent space). At first she annoyed me, but now I like having her around. I think she has a bigger lesson in store for me. It probably has something to do with The Divine. (🤞Please be Dolly Parton. Please be Dolly Parton.🤞)
